Sharjah Institute of Technology is a new educational and  training institute, which has been established under an Emiri decree issued by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, will be run under the supervision of the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA).

Aims

-Introduce vocationally based educationand training programs.  -Availability : Open to ALL.                                                  -Language: English.                                                           -Assessment: Use of strategies and qualification standards        based on the UK model i.e. Edexcel(BTEC) "City and Guilds"

Partnerships

-SIT will be partnering with nominated UK colleges:               On needs basis, in given topic areas.                               Utilizing curriculum materials suitable for different operational levels of the college environment, scheme of work.
